GNU Gloss; The Perfect Snowboard For The Park
The design of the GNU Gloss always leaves me a little on edge. Last years design was different (a good way to say it) This year, it has cats all over it. At least thats what I think they are.
However the design of the board means nothing compared to how it will function, and this snowboard is a dream for any woman who wants to ride in the park.
The board itself is soft, agile, and is built as a park twin. Whatever direction you choose to ride, this board has got your back. It’s great for switch riding, so keep the 180s, 540s, and maybe even a 900 going.
You’ll never know what you can accomplish, until you try. The GNU Gloss is an epic choice, especially in the park.
GNU Gloss Overall Rating:
- Deep Powder Shredding: 3
- Turning Feel: 3
- Carving Experience: 3
- Speed: 4
- Switch Riding: 4
- Pipe: 4
- Jibbing: 3.5
The GNU Gloss has the ratings above for one main reason. It’s more of a park board, this means it’ll excel more in that area.
That isn’t a bad thing, it just means that if you love shredding the park, you’ll have a great time on this board.
Overall, she’s a solid snowboard, and it was built specifically for women in mind.

Where The GNU Gloss Excels:
GNU makes amazing snowboards, you don’t have to read my blog post about my riders choice to know that, and this board is no exception. The snowboard is ideal for parks & groomers, its soft flex makes it playful on the mountain, and you can perform a lot of tricks on it.
With a price point under $400 (most of the time) you’ll find an epic low price snowboard that can push the envelope. If you’re looking at a snowboard that excels on the mountain and you don’t like spending a lot of money. This could be the board for you.
The one place I think it wouldn’t work is in deep powder, however if you setup a setback stance. It would probably be workable. Either way the snowboard is fun/playful/and has some great pop.
I’m sure and confident that you will enjoy this snowboard if you take it out this season. Comment below if you have more to add.
