The GNU Mullair; A Back Country Shredding Machine

The GNU Mullair is a back country deep powder shredding machine. If you’re one of those riders who spend the day searching for untouched pow, this could be the board for you.

The board itself is a free ride directional build. That means it’ll be a bit difficult to ride switch (not impossible though). However for many back country riders that isn’t an issue.

When you’re on this snowboard. It’s you verses the mountain, and the Mullair is going to give you an edge to win.

Aggregate Score: 3.36

I like the aggregate score, but much like the rest of my reviews it’s pretty much meaningless. comparing park snowboards to all mountain snowboards is like comparing apples to oranges. Whats needed on one is detrimental to the other. However, for some reason I continue on with the aggregate score for this snowboard.

Switch riding was scored low due to the directional build, as was riding in the pipe. Jibbing was scored higher than I initially thought it should be, however it does have a slight softness to it that could help on a fun box or rail.

Overall, if you’re a back country rider this snowboard would suit you well. There are a few snowboards out there that ride powder better, however the turning on the Mullair is pretty epic. Only you can decide the give and take on this, however when riding through trees I tend to prefer high end turning. I’m hoping to get out west this season and try this board out on an epic powder day. Then I can add a little bit more to my review.
