Smith Squad Snow Goggles; Epic Clarity In The Snow

Smith Squad Snow Goggles are the largest cylindrical snow goggles that smith makes. This means you’ll have great peripheral vision, and be able to see everything on the mountain.

The goggles themselves are sleek and come in multiple colors. With 6 different frame colors and 8 lens colors, you have 48 different options to match up your gear.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a huge fan of Smith Goggles. They last long, fit well and work amazingly. One of my biggest pet peeves is having gear that I have to keep adjusting on the mountain.

If I’m there, I want to shred. That’s all.

Smith Squad Snow Goggles Details:

Below are some of the basic items that these goggles will improve. Whether it’s your vision or comfort, these goggles will excel. Also if you’re interested in what a cylindrical goggle lens is. Check out my blog post on choosing the right goggles here. I go in-depth on different lens styles.

Vision Improvements:

  • They have Cylindrical Carbonic-x lenses. This gives extra clarity and impact resistance.
  • There is anti-fog tech built into the goggles for a fog-free experience.
  • They come available in ChromaPop, which enhances contrast and makes the details on the mountain pop. (I love this tech)

Comfort Improvements:

  • They’re designed to integrate with Smith Helmets. This gives you comfort/venting, and fog-free performance. When the gear fits right, it makes the day go so much better.
  • They’ve added extra foam, a comfortable strap, and they have a few different sizes so you can find the perfect fit.

Smith Squad Snow Goggles Thoughts:

Whether you’re going to Vail, or you’re going to a simple resort near Minneapolis. (It’s where I live). You’ll need a good set of goggles. Function comes before style, and smith optics makes amazing goggles.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of the ChromaPop lenses. Every time I put on a pair they make my vision better, and that scares me. But I also get really excited because good vision on the hill makes a good time shredding.

Smith has created a lot of good technology and the Smith Squad Goggles have a good chunk of tech added to them. They’re not the cheapest Goggles the company makes, but they’re also not the most high-end.

I’d recommend picking up a pair even if you have them for backup. I recently spent some time at Beavercreek and had some massive issues with my goggles.

They kept fogging up and I wasn’t having a good time. Eventually, I took the goggles off and rode without them. This was a bad idea but it was the only idea.

It’s always good to have a backup, and when you have a pair of Smith Squad goggles your backup is going to be solid. In fact, I don’t even think they’ll be the backup for long. The goggles are pretty amazing.

I had one of the best days of shredding ever with the ChromaPop lenses, and I don’t think I’d trade them for anything. I think you’ll like them too, and if for some reason you want a different style. Check out my blog post on the Smith 4D MAG Goggles. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.
